NATIONAL MIDGET CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

KENORA, ON – After a week of competition at the 2004 National Midget Hockey Championship, the Gold medal game will see College Charles-Lemoyne (Quebec) face off against the Brandon Wheat Kings (West) at 4:30 p.m. (Eastern) on Sunday at the Kenora Recreation Centre.

The Championship game will be broadcast live across Canada by The Sports Network (TSN) and Réseau des Sports (RDS) at 4:30 p.m. (Eastern).

In one semi-final, College Charles-Lemoyne (Quebec) and the host Kenora Stars (Ontario/Host) gave the fans a game to remember, with Quebec edging out the host team 2-1.

In Saturday’s second semi-final game, the Brandon Wheat Kings (West) got the best of the Red Deer Chiefs (Pacific) 6-2 in a game that was a lot closer than the score appeared.

The Kenora Stars (Ontario/Host) will face the Red Deer Chiefs (Pacific) in the Bronze medal game at 11:00 a.m. (Eastern) at the Kenora Recreation Centre.
