AND SELECTION CAMP

CALGARY, ALBERTA – Forward Colin Stone, of the WHL's Swift Current Broncos, suffered a shoulder injury during Monday evening's Red vs. White intersquad game at Canada's National Under-18 Camp in Calgary. He will be out of action indefinitely and will therefore not be available to be selected and play for Canada's National Under-18 Summer Team at the 2003 U18 Junior World Cup.

A native of Calgary, AB, Stone will remain at the Development Camp and undergo treatments on his shoulder.

Stone is one of forty top under-18 players from across Canada attending Canada's National Under-18 Team Development and Selection Camp in Calgary, AB this week. These players are all vying for one of twenty-two spots on the National Under-18 Team that will take part in the U18 Junior World Cup in the Czech Republic from August 11-18, 2003.

On Thursday, August 7th, the final roster of 22 players will be chosen and announced by the coaching staff along with Hockey Canada Head Scout Blair Mackasey.

Tuesday, August 5th is an off-day for the National Under-18 Team. The final Red/White game will be at 5 pm (Mountain) on Wednesday, August 6th at the Father David Bauer Olympic Arena in Calgary. The game is open and free to the public.
