Johnny Misley
Team Leader

Misley will serve as Team Leader for the Men's Olympic Team at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Past international experience includes three World Under 17 Hockey Events as team management / team leader as well as having played and coached professionally in Europe from 1985-1990.

Since August of 1998, Misley has served as the CHA's Director of Development overseeing all hockey development programming in Canada.

From 1991-1998 he served as the BC Amateur Hockey Association's Project Coordinator leading both development and high performance programs in BC.

Holds a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education (Coaching Sciences) and Masters Degree in Human Kinetics (Sports Management) from the University of BC and is a graduate of the National Coaching Institute in Victoria, BC.

A certified Advanced 2 coach and NCCP Course Conductor, Misley has coached, instructed/mentored coaches and worked in hockey at the minor, junior and professional level for the past 22 years. Misley and his wife Teri reside in Calgary, Alberta with their two sons, Brayden and Bryce.
