Canada's Men's Olympic Team Roster Update

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Hockey Canada announced Monday that the roster it is submitting for the men’s hockey tournament at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games is the same as the roster that was announced on in Saskatoon, Sask.

Ryan Getzlaf (Regina, Sask./Anaheim, NHL) has been cleared to play and will remain on the roster, while Jeff Carter (London, Ont./Philadelphia, NHL) has been informed by Canada’s management staff that he will not be added to the roster.

Canada’s Men’s Olympic Team opens the 2010 Olympic Winter Games on Tuesday, February 16 when it faces Norway at 4:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. ET at Canada Hockey Place.
