Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Junior A Hockey League (CJAHL), has announced all of the Group A games, along with one quarterfinal, both semi-finals and the bronze medal game at the upcoming World Junior A Challenge will be available via webcast at www.hockeycanada.ca.
The webcast is totally free of charge, and can be accessed from the front page of the Hockey Canada Web site at www.hockeycanada.ca.
The webcasts will begin with the tournament-opening Canada West vs. Russia game at 8:30 p.m. (ET) on Monday, November 6 and run through the bronze medal game on Sunday, November 12 at 3:30 p.m. (ET).
“We are very excited to be able to bring the excitement of the World Junior A Challenge via webcast to those hockey fans across Canada who won’t have the chance to see the games live,” says Laury Ryan, president of the CJAHL. “This is an opportunity to showcase Junior A hockey from coast to coast.”
The gold medal game will be broadcast on tape delay on TSN/RDS, the official broadcaster of Hockey Canada, on November 18. Check your local listings for broadcast times in your area.
All of the webcasted games will originate from the Gallagher Centre in Yorkton, SK, which is hosting the inaugural event along with Humboldt, SK.
