Defenseman Bobbi Jo Slusar Added to Canada's National Women's Team Roster for 4 Nations Cup

CALGARY, AB – Hockey Canada announced today that defenseman Bobbi Jo Slusar has been added to the National Women’s Team roster for the upcoming 4 Nations Cup in Kitchener, ON, and will make her international debut at the event. The tournament will run from Nov. 7-11 at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.

Slusar, a senior at the University of Wisconsin, was the WCHA Defensive Player of the Year in 2005-06, helping the Badgers to their first national championship. She was also a top-10 finalist for the 2005-06 Patty Kazmaier Award, given to the top women’s player in U.S. college hockey. She has 66 points in 107 career games with the Badgers, and has been named team captain for the 2006-07 season.

The Swift Current, SK native has also appeared in 17 games with Canada’s National Women’s Under-22 Team from 2003-06, picking up four points (2 goals, 2 assists).
