Ed Jovanovski to Miss Remainder of World Cup of Hockey Due to Injury

MONTREAL, QC – Team Canada defenseman Ed Jovanovski will miss the remainder of the World Cup of Hockey 2004 due to injury.

Jovanovski suffered a cracked rib and a second degree sprain of his MCL ligament on his right knee in Tuesday’s game vs. USA. 

San Jose Sharks defenseman Scott Hannan will play in his first ever international game tonight versus Slovakia, and will replace Jovanovski on Canada’s roster for tonight’s game.
