National Women's Under 22 Team Hopefuls Set for Selection Camp in Montreal, QC, From August 17-23, 1999

CALGARY, ALBERTA - Twenty-eight of Canada's best young female hockey players will be at the University of Montreal, in Montreal, QC, for the National Women's Under-22 Team's Selection Camp from August 17-23, the Canadian Hockey Association confirmed Monday.

Players are vying for the twenty-two spots on the team that will face Team USA in three exhibition games August 25, 26 and 28th in Lake Placid, NY.

Head coach Julie Healy and assistants Bill Bowker and Nancy Wilson will put the team through their paces from August 17-23 with nine practices and two inter squad games. The final 22-woman roster will be announced on August 23rd, 1999. Practices and inter squad games are open to the public and there is no admission fee. Players will be made available for media interviews following all practices and games. The team's schedule at the University of Montreal is as follows:
