MUNICH, Germany -- Mike Bullard of Ottawa scored twice to pace Canada's Men's National Team to a 6-1 victory over the host German National Team and a second-place finish at the Deutschland Cup on Sunday.

Slovakia, which finished the four-team, round-robin tournament with a 3-0 won-lost record, finished first, while Switzerland was third and the host Germans fourth. Canada's lone loss in the tournament was a 2-1 defeat to Slovakia on Saturday.

Rich Chernomaz of Selkirk, MB had a goal and three assists for Canada, while Craig MacDonald of Antigonish, NS, Chris Szysky of White City, SK and Gino Cavallini of Toronto also scored. Jochen Hecht had the only goal for Germany.

Bullard, who scored 329 goals during a lengthy NHL career, is playing for Landshut of the German Elite League this year, along with Cavallini and former National Team captain Dean Evason. The three were among seven players added to the National Team's roster for the Deutschland Cup.

Chernomaz plays for Schwenigan, while defencemen Darren Rumble of Barrie, ON and Stephane Richer of Hull, QC play for Mannheim and former National and Olympic Team player Derek Mayer, a defenceman from Rossland, BC, plays for Eisbaren Berlin.

Following the Deutschland Cup, Canada's National Team will travel to France for a pair of games against the French National Team before flying back to Calgary on Nov. 13. They will then spend two weeks training at their home base at Father David Bauer Arena at the Royal Bank Canadian Hockey Centre.
