TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – EXPRESS DU RICHELIEU

A win is a win, even when it is by the slimmest of margins. Taking both games against Citadelles de la Capitale-Nationale proved key in the end for Express du Richelieu, which scored a one-point lead at the end of the Ligue de hockey féminin de développement du Québec regular season. The Express enjoyed an unbeaten run through its first 15 games, including 11 wins a row at one point. Éloïse Dubé (a league-best 18 goals) and Léonie Philbert (a league-high 22 assists) finished one-two in the LHFDQ scoring race. Carolanne Franc-Brown picked up 13 of the team’s 19 wins in net, posting a 0.98 goals-against average. Marithe Levesque (1.28 goals-against average) was in net for the team’s other six wins.
