Canada finished the tournament with a perfect 3-0 record against senior women’s teams, beating Finland (4-1) and Russia (5-1) in the preliminary round to book its spot in the gold medal game.

On Tuesday, Victoria Bach (Milton, Ont./Boston University, HE) and Louise Warren (Pembroke, Ont./Calgary, CWHL) had a goal and an assist each, with Rebecca Kohler (St. Thomas, Ont./University of North Dakota, WCHA) and Krisytn Capizzano (Oakville, Ont./Boston College, HE) supplying the other Canadian goals.

Ann-Renée Desbiens (La Malbaie, Que./University of Wisconsin, WCHA) earned the shutout, making 10 saves.

Canada’s National Women’s Development Team will fly home Wednesday, with all players and staff returning to their club teams throughout North America.
