CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada, in partnership with Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador, announced Thursday that single-game tickets and new ticket packages are now on sale at great prices for the 2010 4 Nations Cup, coming to St. John’s and Clarenville, N.L. from November 9-13.

The 2010 4 Nations Cup is taking place in St. John’s and Clarenville to help Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador celebrate its 75th anniversary. The event will bring together the best women’s hockey nations in the world – Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States – for the first time since the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C. The four countries competing at the 2010 4 Nations Cup finished as the top four in Vancouver, led by the gold medal-winning Canadian team.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer these fantastic ticket deals for the 2010 4 Nations Cup,” said Scott Farley, vice-president of marketing services and events for Hockey Canada. “Hockey fans will undoubtedly be impressed with the high competition level they’ll see on the ice in St. John’s and Clarenville, where the best women’s hockey talent in the world will be on display.”
Canada’s 24-player roster for the 2010 4 Nations Cup includes 14 members of Canada’s gold medal-winning team from the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, as well as eight members of Canada’s National Women’s Under-22 Team that swept the United States in a three-game series in August in Toronto. Former NHL coach and player Ryan Walter will serve as head coach for Canada’s National Women’s Team and will be joined on the bench by University of Minnesota-Duluth assistant coach Laura Schuler and Ryerson University head coach Stephanie White.
