SASKATOON, Sask. – Hockey Canada and ebay.ca will launch the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship auction on Monday, December 28 at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT. Up for auction are Team Canada’s game-worn jerseys, gloves, and helmets.

The jerseys up for grabs are Team Canada’s green jerseys, worn exclusively by Canada’s 2010 National Junior Team at the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship in Regina and Saskatoon, Sask. Canada wore the green jerseys twice – in a pre-tournament game vs. Sweden on December 20 and in a preliminary round contest against Switzerland on December 28.

These jerseys are unique to the 2010 edition of Canada’s National Junior Team, as a tribute to the province of Saskatchewan and its rich sports tradition.

Canada’s roster includes returning players Patrice Cormier, Stefan Della Rovere, Jordan Eberle, Ryan Ellis, Alex Pietrangelo and Colten Teubert, as well 2009 NHL first-round picks Jordan Caron, Jared Cowen, Calvin de Haan, Nazem Kadri, Greg Nemisz, top prospect Taylor Hall and many more future NHL stars currently representing Canada at the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship in Saskatchewan.

All proceeds from the sale of game-worn items will go to support Hockey Canada programming.

The auction will last 10 days, closing on .
