CALGARY – On July 11th and 12th in Toronto, the Canadian Hockey Foundation will be providing an opportunity for hockey fans to again celebrate Canada’s gold medal World Junior Championship Team. Having helped put Canada firmly on top of the hockey world, Canada’s 2005 World Junior Champions will be reunited this summer in Toronto, in recognition of their spectacular gold medal winning performance.

This two day celebration will feature a fundraising gala the evening of Monday, July 11th where Canada’s World Junior players and staff will receive their championship rings, followed by a celebrity golf tournament on Tuesday, July 12th, as part of the 2005 Canadian Hockey Foundation Celebrity Classic.

Supporters of this year’s event will have the opportunity to attend the gala fundraiser for the championship ring presentation and mix with this outstanding group of young men whose marvelous performance thrilled Canadians from coast to coast. Other well known National Junior Team Alumni and Hockey Canada personalities will round out this year’s field of celebrity attendees.

The following day, Canada’s World Junior and celebrity players will captain sponsor teams at the golf tournament. The tournament will feature a team competition focused on providing an entertaining, fast paced competitive round of golf with terrific refreshments, prizes, and a second exclusive opportunity to spend time with a very select group of players who have represented Canada internationally.

The gala fundraiser presents a one of a kind opportunity for caring Canadian’s to come together and help raise money that will be put to work helping build an endowment program that will benefit Canada’s game for generations to come. There are many different ways to participate and show your support.

Companies can also purchase a corporate table for the fundraising gala / ring presentation on Monday, July 11 and provide financial assistance to our cause. The evening presents a special occasion where companies can bring together friends, family, business associates, or clients to entertain, thank, or for other business purposes.   To purchase a corporate table or for more information on playing in the July 12th golf tournament,  phone: (416) 604-0310.
