FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Halifax, Nova Scotia - . Combining memorabilia, stars of past and present, interactive games, and skill testing technology, RBC World Junior Fan Fest is the Hockey Lover's utopia.
Presented by RBC Financial Group, RBC World Junior Fan Fest will be the cornerstone of the community events program located in Halifax. It will run for 10 days and target Tournament ticket and non-ticket holders, and is expected to attract up to 50,000 people. The 2003 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship marks the first time that a community events program of this magnitude has been twinned with the Championship.
This memorable fan entertainment will be shaped by the event goals of attaining strong visibility of Halifax, offering quality sport entertainment, and most importantly to celebrate hockey for all ages.
RBC World Junior Fan Fest will occupy most of the World Trade and Convention Centre facility and will feature over 50,000 square feet of hands on hockey fun and information. The main attraction of the event will be the four skill-testing interactive games, Rapid Fire, Hardest Shot, Accuracy and Shut Out, all designed to challenge players' skill levels. Hockey personalities, past and present, will be on hand during the event to sign autographs and give interviews.
