CALGARY, AB - The Canadian Hockey Association will hold it's Annual General Meeting in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island at the Prince Edward Hotel from Friday, May 21st through Tuesday, May 25th, the Canadian Hockey Association announced on Thursday.
The AGM brings together the Board of Directors, representatives from the CHA's thirteen branches and the CHA's development councils (Female, Junior, Minor, Senior/Recreational, COE Research and Development) to discuss issues relating to hockey in Canada.
Among the subjects on the 1999 AGM's agenda are:
"The Annual Meeting offers us the unique opportunity to assemble over 300 Canadians dedicated to the development of hockey in Canada," said Bob Nicholson, President of the Canadian Hockey Association. "The province of PEI will provide a terrific backdrop for our AGM, thanks to the terrific work of the host committee."
The CHA will also present several awards over the course of the weekend, the Gordon Juckes Award, for outstanding contribution to hockey, the Volunteer of the Year award, the Female Breakthrough Award and the Order of Merit awards.
