Tickets for The 3 Nations Cup Now Available

Ottawa - Tickets for the 3 Nations Cup Women's Hockey Tournament, which is being held from Oct. 20-27 in the National Capital Region, are now on sale at various locations in the Ottawa area, as well as Montreal and Toronto.

Tickets for the Cornwall game can be conveniently puchased at the box office at the Civic Complex for $5.50. All other preliminary games of the inaugural edition of the tournament, which features the top three teams in women's hockey - Canada, the United States and Finland - are only $5. Tickets for the tournament final, to be held Oct. 27 at the Ottawa Civic Centre, go for the same price.

In Ottawa, tickets may be puchased at LaCroix sporting goods stores in Orleans and Nepean, as well as their Lancaster Road location. In Toronto, tickets may be obtained by calling the Ontario Women's Hockey Association at (905) 275-8866, or by phoning Rob Kardas at the Canadian Hockey Ontario Centre of Excellence at (416) 360-7735 ext. 240. In Montreal, please call Concordia University's Loyola Campus gymnasium at (514) 848-3865(3850).

Tickets are also available at various outlets in Brockville, Brinston, Cornwall, Kemptville, Kingston, Perth, and Smiths Falls. (Please see attachment)

The 3 Nations Cup, an important competition leading up to the World Women's Hockey Championship in March in Kitchener, Ont., features a double round-robin format with the top two teams meeting in the championship game, to be aired on CBC TV.

Competition opens with the Canada-Finland contest at 7 pm on Sunday, October 20 at the Jim Durrell Arena in Ottawa. The final round-robin game also will be held at Jim Durrell Arena at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 25. The final game is a 3 p.m. start at the Civic Centre.
