2005 National U18 Club Championship

The 2004-2005 season marks the 12th year of the Intrépide de Gatineau in the Quebec Midget AAA League and already a tradition of excellence has been put in place in this franchise’s short history.

The team has had great coaches, notably Mario Carrière, Alain Sanscartier, Mario Richer, Serge Payant and Martin Lafleur.

In 2004, and again in 2005, the team won the Kiwanis International Tournament in Gatineau under the direction of Martin Lafleur. He has led the team to the Quebec Midget AAA League final.

Regardless of the outcome of the series against the Commmandeurs de Lévis, the Intrépide will host the Telus Cup, the emblem of Midget Hockey in Canada, in Gatineau.

All of the Intrépide de Gatineau Midget AAA’s success is due, for the most part, to the devotion of those people from the hockey community who have worked with the Intrépide since the beginning, the teachers of the sports-study program at the Nicolas-Gatineau Regional High School, who offer a first rate structure to the students, the administrators, the numerous volunteers as well as to those many fans that support Midget hockey in the Outaouais. Without their unrelenting support, we could not say that the best is yet to come for our organization.
