With both teams coming off heartbreaking losses in the semi-final less than 24 hours earlier, the Levis Commandeurs took on the Don Mills Flyers in the Bronze Medal game.  In their previous meeting in the tournament, the Commandeurs downed Don Mills 3-1.  Don Mills started strong and had most of the early chances.  Their strong fore-check resulted in a goal when captain James Murdoch made a great pass to Kyle Ventura in front and he out-waited Bobby Nadeau and backhanded it in for a 1-0 Flyers lead.  Don Mills got some great chances on their first power play and continued their pressure on even strength, not letting Levis get anything going.  Untested in the first 15 minutes, Sean DeZilva was up to task when Levis got their first series of chances.  On Levis’ first power play chance, Maxime Provencher hit the post from the point.  The Commandeurs continued to pressure and Bruno Fortin evened the score at 18:46.  Scott Howes took a penalty after the goal was scored and the Commandeurs got a few more power play chances before the end of the period, but DeZilva made some spectacular saves to send the game to the first intermission tied 1-1.

The start of the second period was controlled by the Commandeurs, who out shot the Flyers 7-1 in the first 10 minutes.  Pier-Alexandre Bernier gave Levis the lead when he slipped the puck home short side on DeZilva.  The Commandeurs continued to press for another, when Francios Gauthier put one off the cross bar less than a minute later.  Don Mills rebounded and Ben Gazdic jumped in from the point and beat Nadeau low to even the score at 10:15.  On a power play, Don Mills got another one when Kyle Wetering made a nifty deflection on a Brent Tamane shot to put Don Mills ahead 2-1 at 8:01.  The remainder of the period was chippy and penalty filled as both teams vented some of their frustrations.

Both teams came out flying in their final period of the year, with end to end action and good chances for both teams.  Levis had an early power play and made it count as Jean-Philip Chabot deflected a point shot past DeZilva to tie the game at 3-3.  Three minutes later, Tony Leclerc blocked a shot and raced down the ice and beat DeZilva low for a 4-3 Commandeurs lead.  24 seconds later, Don Mills had a flurry of chances and Ryan Dawe slammed in a rebound to even the score at 4-4.  At 7:32, David Chabot-Maltais beat a screened DeZilva on a harmless looking shot to give the Commandeurs another lead at 5-4.  Levis stretched their lead to 6-4 when Jean-Phillipe Roy-Vallieres put in a rebound at 13:43.  Gauthier iced the win for the Commandeurs with an empty net goal in the last minute, securing the Bronze medal for Levis.  Levis’ Player of the Game was Davis Chabot-Maltais (1 Goal, 2 Assists).  For Don Mills the Player of the Game was Brent Tamane (2 Assists).
