Pierre Gervais has been a member of the Montreal Canadiens organization since 1984 and Gervais was selected by Wayne Gretzky as one of two Equipment Managers with Team Canada for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.
Gervais was a member of the Stanley Cup Championship Canadiens in 1993, as well as the Calder Cup Champions Sherbrooke Canadiens in 1985, Pierre also participated in the Memorial Cup in 1978, 1979 and 1981 and in the 1987 Canada Cup.
Gervais is in his fifth season as head equipment manager in Montreal after joining the team as an assistant equipment manager in 1987-88, following a five-year stint as equipment manager in the AHL with Sherbrooke (1982 to 1987).
From 1977 to 1982, Gervais was equipment manager in the QMJHL with Trois-Riveres and then in Sherbrooke and was selected for equipment manager duties at the 1993 NHL All-Star Game in Montreal.
Gervais was recently honoured by the Association of Sports Equipment Managers for working in 1,500 NHL games.
