Canada will play its semifinal against Finland in Sochi on Friday at 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT, a game which can be seen live on TSN and RDS, Hockey Canada’s official broadcasters. Check your local listings for broadcast times in your area.

On Thursday, Connor McDavid (Newmarket, Ont./Erie, OHL) scored his second hat trick in as many games to lead Canada to the semifinals for the third year in a row at the world championship. Sam Reinhart (West Vancouver, B.C./Kootenay, WHL), Nick Baptiste (Ottawa, Ont./Sudbury, OHL) and Laurent Dauphin (Repentigny, Que./Chicoutimi, QMJHL) had the other Canadian goals, while Philippe Desrosiers (St-Hyacinthe, Que./Rimouski, QMJHL) made 18 saves for his second consecutive shutout.

Canada finished first in Group B in the preliminary round with a perfect 4-0 record, recording victories over Slovakia (4-1), Germany (3-1), Switzerland (10-1) and Sweden (6-0).
