TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – WATERLOO WOLVES
The Waterloo Wolves were the undisputed class of the Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario during the regular season, rolling through their 32-game schedule without a regulation-time loss (30-0-2), finishing eight points up on the London Jr. Knights, last year’s national silver medallists. The Waterloo offence was the story – Christian Mroczkowski ran away with the Alliance scoring title, finishing 13 points ahead of teammate Ryo Kobayashi, and was one of seven Wolves to finish in the top 10. Overall, Waterloo outscored the rest of the league by 42 goals – more than one per game – and allowed just a single goal more than league-leading London, with Darren Huck’s 16 wins and 1.84 GAA tops in the Alliance.
