Canada's National Men's Under-18 Team to Play for Bronze at 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World U18 Championship

BRNO, Czech Republic – Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team will play for bronze at the 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World U18 Championship, after dropping a 2-1 decision to the United States Friday.

Gemel Smith had the lone goal for Canada which fell to the United States by a goal in the semifinal at the 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World U18 Championship for the second straight year.

Canada will play the Finland in Brno on Sunday, April 22 at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT, a game which can be seen live on TSN and RDS, Hockey Canada’s official broadcasters (check your local listings).

Canada is attempting to win its fourth medal at the IIHF Ice Hockey World U18 Championship, having won gold in 2003 in Yaroslavl, Russia, and 2008 in Kazan, Russia while winning silver in 2005 in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic.
