TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – MISSISSAUGA REBELS
The Mississauga Rebels survived a fight to the finish for top spot in the GTHL, going 12-1-1 over their final
14 regular season games to finish a single point ahead of the Toronto Red Wings for first place. They enter
the playoffs looking to become the second Mississauga team in as many years to win the GTHL championship –
the Mississauga Reps were last year’s champs en route to a silver medal at the TELUS Cup. The Rebels finished
with 116 goals in the 34-game regular season, good for a tie for third in the 12-team GTHL, but it was their
defence that led the way – Mississauga allowed a league-low 68 goals
