Why They’re No. 4

After lurking behind the Cornwall Colts for much of the season the Lumber Kings have made their move in the stretch drive, officially clinching first place in the CCHL this weekend thanks to a seven-game winning streak that included a 5-2 victory over the Colts. The four-time defending league champions have surged to the top of the CCHL thanks in large part to their offence – Pembroke has scored 35 more goals than any other team, led by six 20-goal scorers and 115-point man Tyler Tosunian, who sits second in CCHL scoring – while the defence is just one goal behind Cornwall for the league lead in goals against.
