Canada's National Sledge Team to Face Japan and United States From November 10-13 in Rochester, N.Y.

ROCHESTER, N.Y– Canada’s National Sledge Team is in Rochester this week for the 2010 Three Nation Sledge Hockey Series, a series of games involving Canada, Japan and the United States.

“After a great three-game series against the U.S. in October, the team is really looking forward to the challenge of playing Japan and U.S. this week in Rochester,” said head coach Mike Mondin. “We know that we are facing two very strong opponents so it will be another great week for sledge hockey.”

2010 THREE NATION SLEDGE HOCKEY SERIES - GAME SCHEDULE
(All games will be at the Sports Center at Monroe College in Rochester, N.Y.)  

Wednesday, 2 p.m. ET CANADA vs. Japan

Thursday,  2 p.m. ET CANADA vs. United States

Friday,  2 p.m. ET United States vs. Japan

Saturday,  2 p.m. ET CANADA vs. Japan

All four games during the Three Nation Sledge Hockey Series in Rochester will be aired LIVE on-line at FASTHockey.com.

Canada opened its 2010-11 season with a victory over the United States in a three-game series in Toronto, a series in which all three games were decided in a shootout. Canada will also play in a tournament against Japan, Norway and the United States in Japan in January 2011.

Hockey Canada will also be hosting the fourth edition of the 2011 World Sledge Hockey Challenge at the Western Fair Sports Centre in London, Ont. from April 19-23. Ticket information for the 2011 World Sledge Hockey Challenge will be announced shortly. Canada has won gold twice (2007, 2008) and silver once (2009) at the World Sledge Hockey Challenge, which brings together sledge hockey powers Japan, Norway, the United States in Canada annually.
