Eggstreme Hockey Power Packs Back for Another Season!

CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada, in partnership with Egg Farmers of Canada (EFC), is pleased to announce that the EGGStreme Hockey Power Pack program is back for another year. As in previous seasons, the program will offer free prize packs loaded with Hockey Canada-branded prizes for lucky players, fans and tournament organizers.

Building on the success of past seasons, the 2010 packs will include many of the same popular items:

  • Hockey Canada toques for tournament champions
  • Thundersticks for fans
  • an official Hockey Canada national team jersey for prizing or fundraising
  • a roll of Hockey Canada “Get Cracking” hockey tape
  • a Hockey Canada EGGStreme tattoo
  • an activity sheet for participating players

New for 2010 is the EGGStraordinary Hockey Mom Prize Pack. At each tournament, one lucky hockey mom will win a warm fleece blanket, comfy seat cushion and stylish travel mug to help her stay warm this hockey season. This year’s tournaments will also receive the new Eggs: All in Good Fun recipe booklet featuring six kid-friendly recipes.

Registration for the 2010 program will open in early October on Hockey Canada’s website and the deadline for minor hockey associations to register is . A minimum of 75 tournaments – in the Novice and Atom divisions – will be chosen to receive the EGGStreme Hockey Power Pack this season. Tournaments must be scheduled between January and April 2010. To register your tournament for the EGGstreme Hockey Power Pack program, please fill out the registration form above.

Following the deadline, a selection committee comprised of Hockey Canada and EFC representatives will choose at least 75 tournaments as winning entries. Efforts will be made to spread the program across the country, offering the opportunity to all of Hockey Canada’s branches. The winners will be announced in January 2010.
