Hockey Canada Annual General Meeting Begins on Friday in Vancouver, B.C. Participants to Pay Tribute to Chairman Dr. Allan Morris

VANCOUVER, B.C. – A number of initiatives relating to the development of hockey in Canada will be discussed during Hockey Canada’s annual general meeting, which runs from Friday, May 15 to Sunday May 17 in Vancouver.

More than 250 representatives from regional and provincial hockey associations in Canada will meet for Hockey Canada’s 90th AGM. All meetings will be held at the Sheraton Wall Centre.

Vernon’s Hockey Canada’s board of directors will be joined by Hockey Canada life members, partner organizations and councils, including female, junior, minor, senior and hockey development. These groups will discuss initiatives that benefit the growth of the game.

Participants will also be paying tribute to Dr. Allan Morris at the meeting. Dr. Morris, the chairman of the Hockey Canada board from 2007-2009, passed away in April 2009.
