WINNIPEG – Volunteers are as important to the game of hockey as players, coaches and parents so it was with pride that Hockey Canada announced its award winners for the 2006-07 season at its Annual General Meeting on Sunday night in Winnipeg.

Nominees were submitted by Hockey Canada’s 13 member branches and the winners were chosen by Hockey Canada’s Officers of the Board, or the appropriate Hockey Canada council.

The success of minor hockey associations in Canada depend heavily on volunteers so it’s important for Hockey Canada and its member branches to recognize these individuals.
