Host Sites for 2006 Atlantic Championships Announced

Saint John, NB - The Atlantic Regional Centre, in conjunction with the four Atlantic Hockey Branches, is pleased to announce the host sites for the four Atlantic Regional Championships for 2006.

The Aliant Atlantics - Pee Wee AAA Championship will be hosted in Richibucto, New Brunswick by the West Kent Minor Hockey Association. The event will be played at the Charles Daigle Memorial Arena from March 30th - April 2nd.

The Irving Oil Challenge Cup, Atlantic Canada's Bantam AAA Hockey Championship will be hosted in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador by the Gander Minor Hockey Association. The event will be played at the Gander Community Centre from April 6th - 9th.

The Midget AAA Minor Atlantic Championship will be hosted in Cornwall, Prince Edward Island by the North River Flames. The event will be played at the APM Centre in Cornwall from March 30th - April 2nd.

The Atlantic Regional Midget AAA Hockey Championship will be played in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and hosted by the Dartmouth Subways. The event will be played at the Dartmouth Sportsplex from April 6th - 9th. The winner of this event will be the Atlantic Canadian representative at the Telus Cup - National Midget Hockey Championship which is slated for April 24th - 30th in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Each of these events will feature the host team, along with the provincial champion from Hockey New Brunswick, Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador, Hockey Nova Scotia and Hockey Prince Edward Island.
