Event Manager Introduced 2003 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Halifax

Halifax, Nova Scotia - October 22, 2001 - Bob Nicholson, President of the Canadian Hockey Association introduced Monday Chris Larsen, Event Manager of the IIHF 2003 World Junior Hockey Championship, being held in Halifax December 26, 2002 - January 5, 2003.

Well-known to the Halifax business and sporting communities, Mr. Larsen brings to the position a background in sales and marketing. Most recently, Mr. Larsen has been working in marketing as President and Owner of Larsen Marketing Solutions.

Mr. Larsen was Director of Sales, Atlantic Canada with Canada Post Corporation for five years and held the position of Director of Sales, Atlantic Canada with Canadian Airlines for twelve years.

Mr. Larsens affiliations with the game of hockey run deep. Larsen has been directly involved with the game in Canada, the USA and at the International level, as a Player, Coach and General Manager at the Junior and University levels.

"We are very to pleased to have Chris Larsen a part of our staff for the 2003 World Junior Championship", said Bob Nicholson, President, Canadian Hockey Association. "Chris will work closely with the business and sporting communities in Halifax, as well as with the numerous sponsors, staff and volunteers. He will bring together the many logistics needed to make the World Juniors a world-class event in 2003."
