All the action on the net was in the second period during Thursday’s second game, with Kelsey Bohay scoring two in a row to boost the Regina Rebels to a 2-1 win over Halifax Metro Boston Pizza – and keep the Western reps at second place in 2013 Esso Cup standings.
Taylor Murphy scored the lone goal of the game for North Bay, while host team Fraser Valley made a valiant effort, in Thursday evening’s game at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre.
Quebec captain Jade Downie-Landry was named player of the game in LHFDQ Nord’s exciting 3-1 win over the North Bay Ice Boltz on Wednesday, and rightfully so, as she notched a hat trick to put all three goals on the scoreboard, including two on power plays.
Amy Boucher scored a beautiful game-winning overtime goal, and also notched one late in the first period, to lead the Edmonton Thunder to a thrilling win over the Regina Rebels, and her team’s fourth straight win in preliminary action at the 2013 Esso Cup.

Chloe Dion showed off some nice stick work to score the game-winner, while Corie Jacobson also notched one in the shootout and Kaitlyn McManus had the regulation goal Monday, to give North Bay a thrilling win over Regina at the 2013 Esso Cup.
Amy Boucher made her way into the Esso Cup record book Monday, scoring the third fastest goal in history, at 13 seconds into the game, and added another in the third, to help the Edmonton Thunder to a win over Metro Halifax on Monday.
The LHFDQ Nord earned their first win of the 2013 Esso Cup on Monday night, with Eve-Audrey scoring twice and Valerie Audet adding a couple of assists to help the Quebec team top host team Fraser Valley Phantom at Bill Copeland Sports Centre.
Courtney Geisler cracked the scoreboard in the second, while Corie Jacobson notched a couple in the third and Sabrina Picard stopped 26 shots to earn the shutout, en route to North Bay’s 3-0 win over Metro Halifax in the 2013 Esso Cup opener Sunday.
Chelsea Perepeluk cracked the scoreboard early in the first to kick it off for Regina, while Teah Anderson and Emma Waldenberger both had a goal and an assist, en route to a 5-2 victory over LHFDQ Nord on the opening day of the 2013 Esso Cup in Burnaby.
Sunday night’s game at Bill Copeland Sports Centre wasn’t just the event opener for hosts Fraser Valley Phantom and four-time Esso Cup returnees the Edmonton Thunder – it was also a battle for the Pacific region title, with Edmonton claiming bragging rights.
