POWER PLAY SCORES FOUR AS U.S. ROUTS ATLANTIC
TIMMINS, Ont. – Thanks to a lethal power play, the United States is first into the win column at the 2010
World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
Tyler Biggs, Robbie Russo, Travis Boyd and Jordan Schmaltz all scored with the man advantage as the
Americans routed Atlantic 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon at McIntyre Arena to run its round-robin undefeated streak
to 11 games, dating back to 2006.
Rocco Grimaldi, J.T. Miller and Blake Pietila also scored for the U.S., which held off a spirited first
period effort from the Canadian side before pulling away in the final 40 minutes, scoring six times in the
last two periods.
Grimaldi added two assists to his goal, picking up Player of the Game honours, while Miller also had a
goal and two helpers.
Matt McNeely made 24 saves to record the shutout between the pipes for the Americans, while Robert Steeves
stopped 25 in a losing cause for Atlantic.
