FINNS TAKE FOURTH PLACE IN POOL B WITH DRAW

REGINA — Finland and Germany ended their round-robin games with a moral
victory — a 2-2 draw Monday at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Southey.

Aki Kangasmaki put Finland ahead by a goal with an unassisted marker midway in the frame.

Steven Rupprich put Germany on the board early in the second period, from Alexander Oblinger and Florian Muller.

But minutes later, Finland regained its one-goal advantage with a goal from Juho Maata. Olavi Vauhkonen assisted.

Germany earned the equalizer with 1:27 left in the game, from Soren Sturm.
