UNITED STATES 6, CANADA WEST 3 Tournament MVP Vince Hinostroza scored twice and added two assists and J.T. Stenglein had two goals of his own as the United States won its fourth gold medal with a win over Canada West.

SWITZERLAND 6, CANADA EAST 0 Melvin Nyffeler made 27 saves for the shutout and six different players scored goals as the Swiss racked up four power play goals to blank the Canadians and win their second bronze medal.

NOV. 9 Nicholas Schilkey and captain Vince Hinostroza scored two goals apiece as the Americans opened up a five-goal lead in the first period and held off a Swiss push in the third to advance to Sunday’s gold medal game. NOV. 11 Austin Plevy scored the “winner” with 2:42 remaining and Ryan Berlin added insurance to give West an 8-6 aggregate victory and the President’s Cup despite a loss to East in the second CJHL Prospects Game.
