2001 National U18 Club Championship

2000-2001 SEASON

The Beardy's Blackhawks finished the regular season with a record of 26 wins 13 losses and 5 ties for 57 points which placed the team in second place out of the 12 teams in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.

The team finished the last month of the regular season with 9 wins and 1 loss. They then went through the Saskatchewan play-offs with a record of 9 wins and 2 losses.

The next step was the Western Regionals in Moose Jaw where they went a perfect 4-0. Therefore since February 1st the Blackhawks have a record of 22 wins and 3 losses. The overall record for the team during the 2000-2001 hockey season (including tournaments) is 50 wins, 18 losses, and 5 ties. This is the team's first time to the Air Canada Cup.

The Blackhawks were the 2000 Ice Mania Tournament Champions in Prince Albert, Sask. And finished 4th at the 2000-2001 Mac's Tournament in Calgary.

Head Coach - Dale Grayston

The Beardy's Blackhawks Head Coach is Dale Grayston and is finishing his 4th season with the team. Dale was the 1999-2000 Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League Coach of the Year and received the Top Coach Award at the 1999-2000 Mac's International Midget Tournament. The berth in the Air Canada Cup Championship is the high point in the six year history of the Beardy's Blackhawks organization with the low point being five years ago when the Blackhawks finished with 2 wins in their 44 game schedule.
