Another hockey season is in the books, and it was another year of growth for Hockey Canada’s national team events and national championships held in Canada. In total, more than 150,000 fans watched games live, another 1.5 million watched on TSN/RDS, the official broadcasters of Hockey Canada, and more than 100,000 logged on to free webcasts thanks to Hockey Canada’s partnership with FASTHockey. Five provinces – from Nova Scotia to British Columbia – welcomed domestic events, putting the future of the game on display for all Canadians to see, and giving hundreds of players the chance to represent their hometown, province and country in front of the most passionate hockey fans in the world.
