The 2013-14 season was a ground-breaking one for Hockey Canada in the areas of sponsorship and in-market activation. The Hockey Canada brand continues to have broad appeal, and with record TSN viewership combined with international success, hockey events are in high demand. Corporate partners were eager to leverage opportunities with Hockey Canada to offer tremendous consumer and membership value, including RBC Play Hockey and Lowe’s Rink Renovation, and social media integrated campaigns such as the TELUS Power Play Pal, Canadian Tire Heroes of Play, and Delissio Rising Stars. Successful grassroots programs, including the McDonald’s atoMc program, Chevrolet Helmet program, Esso Medals of Achievement and Sport Chek Train Like a Pro, created a landscape that has Hockey Canada corporate partners firmly entrenched in the day-to-day activities of hockey.
