There was lots of drama at Father David Bauer arena on Thursday afternoon as Team Red posted a shootout victory over Team Finland.  The Finns jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Hanna Kuoppala and team captain Sari Fisk.  Canada was unable to solve goaltender Noora Raty until Sabrina Harbec deflected a point shot on a power play mid way through the third period.  Bobbi Ross tied the game for Canada with just under two minutes remaining.  A five minute overtime did not yield a goal, so the teams went to a five player shootout to determine the outcome.  Raty and Laura Hosier in the Canadian goal were both stellar as Kerri Wallace’s game winner for Canada was the only goal of the nine shot shootout.
