2014 Olympic Winter Games (Men)

My Team Canada - Gerry Dee

Gerry Dee is the star and co-creator of the hit CBC sitcom, Mr. D, and was a 2013 winner of a Canadian Screen Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Continuing Comedic Role.

A former school teacher, turned comedian, Dee recently released a new book called Teaching: It's Harder Than It Looks. He has also appeared on The Score as Gerry Dee – Sports Reporter and as Donny in Trailer Park Boys: The Movie. He finished third on Season 5 of NBC's Last Comic Standing, still the highest result by a Canadian in the show's history.

Goaltenders
Roberto Luongo – did it in Vancouver. Also, he’s Italian.
James Reimer – also a really nice guy.
Ben Scrivens – he’s really nice guy.

Defencemen
Sheldon Brookbank – he only had one goal last year in the NHL. He is due for a breakout year.
Brian Campbell – when I think of Russia, I think of Big Red Machine. Brian Campbell is our Big Red Machine.
Drew Doughty – friend of Jake Muzzin.
Cody Franson – he is from Sicamous, B.C. Somebody from Sicamous should be there.
Mark Giordano – he was undrafted and proved all the NHL scouts wrong. Can’t have him do that again.
Thomas Hickey – I have a friend named Tommy Hickey.
Kris Letang – Sidney Crosby said so.
Jake Muzzin – friend of Drew Doughty.
P.K. Subban – win the Norris Trophy, it's automatic.

Forwards
Paul Bissonette – he would provide some great tweets to update us behind the scenes.
Mike Cammalleri – because he was on my TV show and he asked me to do this. He would also like to be on the first line … his request.
Bobby Clarke – just in case…
Sidney Crosby – because he's Sidney Crosby.
Sam Gagner – his name means “win” in French.
Milan Lucic – he should be on every Team Canada for the rest of his life, just because.
Nathan MacKinnnon – because he was on my TV show and I promised him I would do this, like I promised him he would be the first overall pick. I keep my promises.
Colton Orr – need someone to stick up for Bobby Clarke, who is almost 70 years old. And he knows CPR.
Tyler Seguin – why not?
Steve Yzerman – he's already over there and it would save money on flights. I also think he can still play.
