Team Canada opened the 2004 Loto Cup with a 3-2 victory over the Austrian National Team. Warren Norris scored a short handed goal with just over 5 minutes remaining in the game to secure the victory. Dan Ellis from the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL) played in goal for the Canadians.  Jame Pollock, Hnat Domenichelli and Warren Norris were the goal scorers for Team Canada.

Team Canada are the defending champions at the Loto Cup.  This year’s team is comprised of players from 10 different leagues.

Canada will face Switzerland tomorrow and then the Slovaks on Saturday in the round robin format.
