2005 Esso Women's Nationals

This is Newfoundland and Labrador’s sixth consecutive year participating at the Esso Women’s Nationals. We have 13 players returning from last year’ squad and welcome the new additions to our team. For those who will experience this tournament for the first time, we are confident that they will leave with a desire to return next year.  The team is comprised of players from across our province and while we are a young team we are confident we will be competitive in our pool. The enthusiasm and pride the team displays is a major contribution to the team’s accomplishments last year and those same qualities will be a factor in their desire to have an even better showing this year.   

Team Newfoundland and Labrador would like to sincerely thank Esso, Hockey Canada and Sarnia’s Host Committee and its many volunteers for providing our female athletes with an opportunity to participate in one of the most prestigious tournaments in female hockey. Both players and coaches are eagerly looking forward to this years’ event. We wish teams and the host committee a successful tournament.
