Two 1-0 teams met in the evening game of Day Two at the TELUS Cup, with the Don Mills Flyers taking on the Host Gatineau Intrepide.  It was a physical from the drop of the puck, with the Intrepide getting the early chances.  They jumped to an early lead when Pierre-Luc Lacombe roofed a rebound at 3:49 for a 1-0 Intrepide lead.  Gatineau continued the pressure, out-shooting the Flyers 11-1 in the first 10 minutes.  Gatineau continued to own the puck, generating six more shots on a 4 minute power play when Scott Howes got caught for spearing.  Don Mills put in an undisciplined effort and was out-shot 17-1 by the end of the first period. 

The second period was just as penalty filled as the first, this time with both teams heading to the box.  Don Mills took advantage of numerous power plays, hitting the crossbar on a rebound opportunity.  30 seconds later, the Intrepide increased their lead as Nick Pitsikoulis scored his third of the tournament to give Gatineau a 2-0 lead.    Shane Elliot almost got the Flyers within one with a great individual effort on a 1-on-2, beating both defenders and grazing the post.  Both teams came close to scoring towards to the end of the period, but both goaltenders were up to the task, coming up with great saves.  The second was more evenly contested, with the Flyers out shooting the Intrepide 11-7.  The play became more and more chippy, as the physical play spilled over to after the whistles.

Kyle Wetering almost got Team Central within one with a great solo effort, dancing around two Intrepide only to have Maxim Gougeon make a great pad save.  The chippy nature of the game rose to new levels with both teams taking liberties, especially away from the play.  After killing off the first penalty during a two man advantage, Shane Elliot intercepted a breakout pass and went in alone and beat Gougeon under the crossbar to bring the Flyer within one at 4:54.  After a few close plays in their end, Gatineau regained a two goal lead when Marc Myre made a great move behind the net to shake his defender and banked the puck in off goaltender Philip Skeels at 11:30.  On a late power play for Don Mills, Gougeon robbed a Flyer in close with a stretched out pad.  The Intrepide held the lead with the help of more Flyer penalties, and remained undefeated in the 2005 TELUS Cup, out shooting the Flyers 38-20.  The Player of the Game for Gatineau was Maxim Langelier-Parent.  The Player of the Game for Don Mills was Ryan MacSween.
