In a high scoring affair, Cornwall was looking for their first win of the tournament while Toronto was looking to stay in contention by remaining in the top four. Toronto held a 3-1 lead after the first period, but Cornwall turned things up a notch in the second. The Thunder scored five times in the middle frame, with Toronto adding two to their total, giving Cornwall a 6-5 lead heading into the third. The PEI team was able to add one more to give them a 7-5 victory, and their first win of the tournament. Cornwall had seven different goal scorers, but the star of the show was the Thunder’s ace goalie, Todd Gregory making an astonishing 47 saves. Greg Harvey led the way for the Blue shirts with 3 assists. Cornwall and Toronto are now tied for fifth in the standings at 1-3.
