Hockey Canada and three other not-for-profit organizations (Parachute, the Coaching Association of Canada and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport) have been directly involved in  the Government of Canada’s Active and Safe Injury Prevention Initiative.  The intent of this project is to reduce the rate of severe concussions and head injuries in children and youth team sports by developing and implementing key stakeholder interventions that aim to:

  • reduce the incidence of head injury events;
  • improve return-to-play decision-making;
  • ensure the sustainability of these initiatives over the long term.

As part of Hockey Canada’s involvement, we have created a mobile app and have made it available to Hockey Canada membership, including players, parents, coaches and volunteers, as well as other amateur sports organizations, medical disciplines and the Canadian public.

This app will allow you to access the most up-to-date information available on concussion prevention and management from Hockey Canada and other key partners.
